Privacy policy

Who we are

Aquarii Bazaar is a discovery platform for intellectual property. We make public patent and trademark records searchable, let rights holders verify ownership of their records, and let interested parties reach verified owners. No transactions take place on the platform.

Information we collect

• Account information — name, email, account type, organization, and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider).
• Ownership claims — your stated relationship to a record, work email, attorney registration number where given, and documents you upload as evidence.
• Usage — searches, watchlists, saved searches, messages you send, and support requests.
• Billing — handled by Stripe. We store a customer identifier and subscription status; we never see or store your card details.
• Technical — IP address, browser and device information, and server logs, used for security and reliability.

Public records

Much of the content on Aquarii Bazaar comes from public government records, including the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Those records may contain inventor names and locations that were published by the government. We display them as published. If you believe information about you is wrong or should not appear, contact us and we will review it.

How we use information

• To operate the service: search, alerts, watchlists, messaging, and support.
• To verify ownership claims, which involves a person reviewing your evidence against the public record.
• To provide AI features. Content you ask about is sent to our AI provider to generate a response; it is not used to train their models.
• To bill subscriptions and prevent abuse.
• To send service messages and the alerts you ask for. You can turn alerts off.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your personal information.
• We don't publish your contact details. People reach you through the platform, and only if you choose to be contactable.
• We don't use your evidence documents for anything other than verifying your claim.

Who we share it with

Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), and Anthropic (AI features). We also share information when the law requires it.

Retention

We keep account data while your account is open. Claim evidence is kept while the claim is active and for a period afterwards to defend the integrity of verifications. Delete your account and we will delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we must keep records.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Email support@aquariibazaar.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access rules are enforced in the database itself, uploaded evidence is stored in a private bucket, and administrative actions are recorded in an audit log.

Children

Aquarii Bazaar is for business use and is not directed to anyone under 16.
